“ Ive shopped here several times. I think Im addicted to the Italian cookies, especially when they are fresh! My favorite are the apricot filled. Even though Im not very fond of lemon flavored desserts... I absolutely loved the Lemon Poppyseed Loaf. It is generously loaded with poppyseeds, with only a hint of lemon. In the past I tried several other desserts and took them to family for birthday treats. The Chocolate Bomb was decadent and delicious. But so far, the other desserts Ive tried werent what I hoped for or expected. The bread pudding was the most disappointing. Perhaps the Italian version is supposed to be hard, dry and somewhat bland? The carrot cake was dry and stale. The tiramisu was a little dry. It wasnt bad, but our main issue with it was flavoring. We couldnt taste the coffee. Its too expensive, to give some of these treats a second chance. Id go there any day for the cookies! You will probably want to sit in your car and eat a few before driving away. Maybe, thats why its so hard to find parking? lol ”

“ Savoia Pastry shop is what you would imagine a neighborhood Italian bakery would be like back in the day. As I stood in line looking at all the tempting choices, I couldnt help but notice the seasoned worker behind the cookie counter ask a couple of little boys what cookie they would like as their mother was placing an order. The boys couldnt wait to get their selected cookie as the woman came from around the counter to hand them over to them. An entering customer said hello to everyone and knew the staff by name. I was there to pickup a fruit tarts tray and ended up leaving there with not only the tray, but 6 different cookies, an almond claw, and a lemon poppy seed bread. Everything was so delicious. ”
